Looking for local opportunities near Cardiff? My client, a leading wealth management firm, is looking for a Paraplanner to join their team in the capital of Wales.
As Paraplanner, you will provide a comprehensive support to the Independent Wealth Planner based in Cardiff, who is also Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments as well as a Chartered Wealth Manager.
You will take ownership of the 'behind the scenes' non-client facing aspects of the wealth planning role which will allow the Wealth Planner to spend considerably more time in front of clients.
You will also work directly with the Adviser on new clients and be one step ahead of them when it comes to existing client reviews.
Researching products and funds to assist Adviser when put together a comprehensive recommendation for clients
Working with threesixty panel for products and fund choices
Preparing information for review of any potential off panel requests
Requesting information from the clients existing schemes and assessing these schemes for efficiency
Writing suitability reports, ensuring;
Accuracy of client specific information
All risk warning included
Meet standards set by compliance department
Meet FCA guidelines
Working with existing templates
Preparing review information ahead of client meetings
Reviewing existing investments, comparing to benchmarks and suggesting potential fund switches where necessary
Writing review letters to clients after adviser meeting to confirm details of reviews (fund switches, risk profiling review, etc.)
Be able to do initial basic factfinding over the phone with any potential new clients
Support clients with any specific queries over the phone
General office duties
Complete new business packs
Scanning of all information to client file
Deal with post / calls
To be successful you will need
Previously worked as a Paraplanner
Demonstrable knowledge of financial products; particularly in relation to pensions, estate planning and investments
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
Proactive, self-motivated and be able to take own initiative
Qualified to Level 4 at a minimum
Good knowledge of Windows Microsoft - Excel and Word
Good understanding of Intelligent Office / Intelliflo preferable
