A Specialist Defence consultancy have a national security threat detection and counter measure long term contract opportunity for an Engineer to provide specialist technical analysis and simulation model development.
This is through the use of Electro-optic / Infra-Red and RF sensors via MATLAB / Simulation model based design algorithms.
The tasks will require you to master textual and graphical programming environments, utilising skills and experience in research, mathematical modelling, complex data sets and algorithmic developments including simulation and analysis.
MATLAB Threat modelling and Analysis Requirements
Requirements include simulation and modelling through MATLAB, knowledge of Infra red / Radio Frequency / Optics systems with a knowledge of real time development / signal processing and beneficial experience includes any experience with mathematical based modelling, Fortran / C code or real time computing for threat analysis.
MATLAB Threat Detection responsibilities
Responsibilities will include production of complex models in software to set standards, weapon system analysis, threat vulnerability analysis, the modelling of threats, countermeasures and providing advice to customers based on analysis of simulation results.
MATLAB Threat Detection and Analysis Role
The role is a long term contract position on-site in the South West paying a competitive day rate, Outside of IR35. The successful candidate must have either an SC or DV (active or past) clearance along with experience in specification, design, modelling, testing, validation, and results analysis.
You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and a competent team leader and team player who can communicate clearly. The position is part of a small and specialised team of analysts.
