Role :

A fantastic opportunity for an energetic, creative & experienced digital / ecommerce individual to drive forward B&B's digital activity during a time where we are forecasting significant growth for our digital revenue YOY.

An exciting challenge for the right candidate who really wants to shape their own role and make a real difference, whilst quickly becoming an integral part of a small team.

You will have strong base knowledge (and a passion for) increasing conversion rates, optimising customer journeys and creating & optimising immersive online & web experiences as well as managing digital acquisition channels to achieve commercial goals.

You’ll have strong technical SEO knowledge and be able to implement changes to drive improvements in rankings and page performance as well as a passion for delving into data, analytics & customer insights.

The successful candidate will be passionate, have strong commercial awareness, be excited by the prospect of driving forward a fast-growing independent business that aims to be a Lovemark brand as well as having a keen understanding of how to drive business profitability through both effective people management and intuitive customer communication.

You will be able to quickly understand the brand, it’s aims and it’s fans to become involved in developing digital strategy.

You will be analytics driven with an inquisitive attitude that drives you to solve problems as you come across them and a can do attitude, happy to get stuck in and lead by example.

I would welcome applicants working at executive level and above, or highly skilled professionals in this field with the potential to take on greater responsibility, with over 5 years’ experience within Ecommerce.

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • A proven track record using the latest digital technologies and marketing tools to deliver effective digital campaigns, increasing conversion and brand engagement
  • An innovative and strategic approach
  • A digital background working with omnichannel brands that span B2C, B2B, as well as both physical & digital retail
  • Highly experienced in working at executive level or above
  • Strong Commercial understanding with excellent analytical skills
  • Proven digital marketing ability to be a role model to others across the wider brand team
  • Responsibilities :

    Ultimately responsible for the delivery of B&B's ecommerce digital activity, reporting into and working closely with the Founder and Creative Director to set digital strategy and deliver on key business objectives.

    You will be leading a small digital team, getting stuck in to fill gaps, add expertise and develop the team as well as working with members of our wider brand team to ensure we deliver optimised customer experiences.

  • Identifying & implementing new tech and tooling to improve our digital experience offering.
  • Lead generation optimisation across digital and retail touch points.
  • Proactively working with the wider brand team, product development, warehousing, retail ops and fulfilment to ensure all website campaign activity is planned for and optimised from a digital perspective.
  • A focus on conversion through all digital gateways to the brand including website, social commerce & partners.
  • Technical SEO implementation to optimise site and defining a content strategy to increase our visibility in key categories.
  • Leading phase 2 of our website migration & transformation, including implementing integrated customer journeys across retail pos and the website as well as launching an app so experience in both of these areas, as well as project management experience would be useful.
  • Managing budgets to ensure KPIs are hit and that the digital team to ensure consistent returns on investment.
  • Optimising acquisition funnels around product types alongside broader brand / key message campaigns.
  • Creating on-brand digital experiences that create long-term fans through web, landing page & UX optimisation, merchandising site content to drive acquisition.
  • Development and management of your team ensuring they are supported to achieve business goals as well as all of their HR and development needs.
  • Daily management of all website UX, website issues & ticketing system with external agency
  • Assisting the implementation of new systems, website front end and processes across the business including email automation, stock holdings and website UX projects.

    Please note you must have proven relevant experience in a senior digital position, ideally working with FMCG, B2C or a lovemark product / brand with fast growth.

    Salary : Competitive

    Start Date : ASAP, but will wait for the right candidate.

    We would be interested in a contract with freelancer / consultant to get stuck into some of the above, whilst we continue to search for the right permanent candidate, so please do get in touch if that applies.

    Hours of work : This is a full-time role.

    Place of work : Bird & Blend Tea Co.'s office is in central Brighton. But flexible working, including working from home is possible.

    If remote working, you will be required to attend the office regularly for essential meetings / projects.
