The Role

Your success will become from effectively owning quality engineering and the test automation journey in our Assurance team.

We also expect this role to contribute to our CI / CD journey. At the Intermediate level, we will expect you to autonomously define and implement effective automated tests as well as exploratory tests.

You will collaborate with your immediate team and larger test community within Gentrack to ensure quality engineering is one of the fundamental pillars of our software engineering practice.

You will also improve our test framework. A mindset of the continuous and relentless pursuit of excellence in all areas is fundamental to this role.

The role will ensure quality is present across everything the team does, from backlog refinement to production deployment.

About You

You are an expert in your field. You’ll have coding skills and a tester's mindset to understand the context of a system and then adopt a test-to-break approach.

You are looking at software with a view to determine what could go wrong .

We expect you to bring to the business :

Relevant, hands-on experience in Quality Engineering (test automation, CI and CD).

Relevant coding experience in SQL, javascript, c#.

Comfortable working with large data sets and complex dependencies.

Demonstrable knowledge in using metrics for quality.

A keen eye for inefficiencies in our quality tools and bias for action to fix them.

A preference for using industry-standard tools instead of "reinventing the wheel".

An agile mindset, and principles that are aligned with agility.

Most importantly, you have an optimistic outlook on life, common sense, and a sense of humour!
