Role Summary :
The Global Operations Services Transition Lead virtual role will perform a critical role within the Global Operations Services (GOS) Team I which is responsible for partnering together with GCO and BU clients to execute Pfizer’s commercial strategies and Tactics through above market operational services delivery to support global to local implementation & operations.
This role will report to the Global Operations Services Lead and work in partnership with the Global Service Delivery Planning & Performance Lead and his / her direction.
The global operations services transition lead is a global cross service delivery role, managing the global transition of new services and / or expansion of existing services into the Global operations services team.
The lead will also be responsible for driving process excellence including harmonization, optimization and automation across GCO services in alignment with global strategies.
In addition, s / he will lead knowledge management of the GOS I team to drive simplicity, productivity and efficiencies across the team and in coordination with broader global strategies across GOS II and III.
In close partnership with the GCO Service Delivery Centre planning lead and the GOS Leadership team, they will be responsible for contributing to the development and, implement and evolve the global service delivery transition framework and strategic roadmap.
The GOS transition lead will also work together with GCO markets and GOS colleagues to transition GCO services into the 2 core elements of the team;
transactional and program management service delivery. Working in coordination with a global roadmap, the role will proactively assess / identify potential GCO processes for transitioning with our partners.
Partnering with other departments within GCO GSDC, the lead will be required to autonomously interact with Service Delivery planning, VMPO, PfizerWorks and other GCO partners to ensure strategic and operational alignment and the development of a strong and robust process excellence roadmap.
Further co-creation of GSDC vendor strategy will require strong stakeholder management and partnership across GOS and GSDC.
Role Responsibilities :
Drive the global operations services strategic service transition framework and lead implementation of the global roadmap in Global Operations Services I
Lead and manage the transition of new services and / or expansion of existing GCO services into the Global Operations Services I team.
Own and drive process excellence including standardization, harmonization, optimization and automation across GCO services within the Global operations services team;
coordinate with Service Delivery Planning Lead and other Global Operations Services Teams as they evolve
Responsible for benchmarking and identification of insights, trends, and best practices on operations and service delivery organizations and process improvements to support the GOS strategic roadmap
Accountable for leading the knowledge management of GOS team I and coordinate with other GOS teams to drive simplicity, productivity and efficiencies across the team.
Planning and managing the capacity and resources required to manage service transitions
Decommissioning and discontinuation of services within the global operations services portfolio
Change and Stakeholder Management
Contribute and lead the creation and execution of a global change and stakeholder management plan across audiences in relation to the GCO services transition entering into the GOS environment.
Own the Service transition plans with the GCO markets during the service transition phase and report ongoing progress / accomplishments / issue management associated with the transition plan(s).
Responsible for service transition, process excellence and knowledge management subject matter expertise to support the development and evolution of the Global Operations Services Team.
Drive change management activities with the markets during service transition.
Manage global service transition plans in a global organization matrix with senior level visibility.
Provide oversight to all service transition, process excellence and knowledge management on behalf of the global operations services leadership team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience :
Bachelor's degree is required and Master’s degree is preferred
15+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5+ years of experience in managing diverse / global teams
Minimum 10 years’ experience demonstrating an ability to carry out process excellence, knowledge management and project management.
Minimum of 5 years experience in global or above market experience.
Experience in managing global shared services delivery operations
Deep understanding of Pfizer’s pharmaceutical business operations and products
Strong collaboration / relationship-building skills and ability to engage across multiple functions, including technical and business
Excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal as well as written communications
