We are looking for a talented Electrical Systems Engineer to join our UK team based at our Yeovil site in the South West of England.

To define, instigate and execute the activities required to design develop and qualify the helicopter and its systems (primarily but not exclusively electrical) to the requirements of the customers and certifying authorities.
Key Responsibility Areas
Provide technical subject expertise for technical activities across Engineering projects including Design, Analysis, assessment, testing, modelling, simulation using acceptable engineering tools, standards and procedures.
To understand the contractual requirements of the customers and Certifying Authorities and assist in the definition and conduct of the Engineering activities carried out to produce this.
To produce and maintain a range of engineering documentation within agreed formats in compliance with Engineering and Departmental instructions and provide technical data to meet design or Engineering solution requirements.
Management and oversight of vendor activities that support Electrical Systems and other Engineering departments as required, including review of vendor designs, test procedures and Validation & Verification documentation.
Support to other Leonardo Helicopter Division (LHD) Engineering departments as required by multi-disciplined systems.
Support to other LHD disciplines, such as Procurement and Manufacturing, to ensure delivery of the product to agreed requirements, including cost and schedule.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
Degree in a relevant Engineering subject or HNC / HND / BTEC and Apprenticeship.
Ability to understand the design, installation, development, integration and Qualification of aircraft Electrical and Utility systems.
Experience in Electrical systems design, development and production support, or experience in another relevant field would be advantageous.
Ability to understand complex engineering processes and the inter-dependencies of the process components.
Ability to make technical recommendations based on information assimilated from a number of technical sources / experts.
