Ellershaw House Care Home, based in the beautiful rural outskirts of Ripon, are seeking a Day service senior support workers to join their team on a full time basis to work with an individual on a daily basis.
The role will be within Ellershaw house day service and requires you to work Monday - Friday, 9am - 4 : 40pm.
Based on a farm with 14 acres of land, Ellershaw House is a home for 10 12 adults with learning disabilities, this is a unique role where you will be fully immersed into the friendly family-like atmosphere.
We are seeking somebody who is passionate about providing outstanding care, with a can-do attitude and great sense of humour this is a small, family-like team, who all enjoy a good laugh! Maybe you have a passion, hobby or skill that you could share with the service users?
Many of the team here bring their hobbies to work and get everyone involved. The possibilities are endless as residents here enjoy gardening, arts, music, horse riding and more! Do you love animals?
They have horses, chickens and dogs! You will not be required to look after the animals, but a general love for them will come in handy.
Key responsibilities & Duties will involve :
Ensure that all activities are risk assessed, and, risk assessed against the participants
To carry out basic first aid and summon emergency services if required. To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity
g. Fire, H&S, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, CQC)
Access to your own transport is essential due the rural location. We are seeking candidates with experience supporting and caring for others and candidates that have Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification and have or be willing to work towards their Level 3 qualification.
The rate of pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
