Cobham Aerospace Connectivity are looking for a HR Advisor. This role is to provide dedicated HR Adviser support for the Aerospace Connectivity employees and contractors at the Hurn site.

This will include end to end HR transactional activities across Aerospace Connectivity and provision of comprehensive operational support in a number of dedicated disciplines.

This role is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire

Our Technology

Cobham Aerospace Connectivity design and manufacture active and passive avionics antennas and electronic control systems for military and civil communications, navigation and search and rescue applications.

We pioneered frequency agile VHF tuneable antennas and continue to be a key supplier to major avionics companies. Our GPS anti-

jam technology utilises state of the art DSP algorithms with an active antenna to eliminate both narrow-band and wide-band jamming signals.

We have world leading technology in Ground Penetrating Radar and RF interference mitigation. Both military and civil users rely on our direction finding systems for search and rescue operations.

As a HR Advisor your skills and qualifications will ideally include :

CIPD qualified or working towards it

Experience in a generalist HR support role

Competent in MS Office suite

Experience of HRIS databases preferred (ideally Workday)

High level interpersonal skills, including assertiveness and developed ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organisation

Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic

  • As a HR Advisor your main responsibilities will involve :

    Providing a dedicated HR advisor service to the Aerospace Connectivity site at Hurn, to include regular (anticipated once a week on average) visits to the site.

    Including, but not limited to less complex performance and capability case management, managing queries, administrative support (as in point below) and providing guidance and coaching to line managers on HR related areas.

    Managing a broad range of administrative task, including, but not limited to, response to reference requests (including tenancy / mortgage), payroll and benefits administration, starter and leaver documentation, training data maintenance, sickness absence reports, annual leave administration for payroll purposes, maternity, paternity and parental leave application management.

    Managing the apprentice and graduate schemes in tandem with plc involvement.

    Co-ordinating work experience, internships and temporary placements within the business.

    Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and providing assistance as required.

    Overseeing probation process administration and managing probation extensions / completions.

    Providing a first point of contact for the Cobham benefits scheme.

  • Maintaining the integrity of the data held in the HR information system.
