The University of Lincoln (UoL), in conjunction with the University of Nottingham (UoN), is establishing a Medical School based at the University of Lincoln campus.
The School will accept students from September 2019 onto a standard 5 year MBBS programme and a 6 year programme including a foundation year.
the University of Nottingham will deliver the clinical phase.
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Anatomy to oversee the implementation, delivery and teaching of anatomy for the Lincoln site.
This will encompass both academic lecturing and practical anatomy based on pro-section dissection. This is a senior post in the new Medical School and will likely involve some line management of staff.
While a medical qualification is not essential, extensive experience of anatomy teaching and anatomy demonstration will be essential for the successful candidate.
Extensive experience in soft tissue anatomy or neuroanatomy would be particularly welcome.
The position is available on a Teaching and Research (TR), or Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) role profile, with enthusiasm and dedication to maximising the student experience as well as expertise in anatomy teaching being key aspects of the role.
The University of Lincoln has invested heavily in STEM subjects in recent years and establishment and expansion of a Medical School is a key component of our future plans.
