Offering a salary of up to £70,000 DOE + Benefits

The Role

As a Network Programmer, a key part of the role would be mentoring junior programmers in the team. For the more hands on part of the role, you will be required to implement the multiplayer / network stack for the in-house engine.

The team will be responsible for the evolving network layer and you will be working closely with the Engine Development team and AI / Gameplay team to create comprehensive work-flows.

The Person

The candidate we are looking for will ideally have experience in a similar role and has shipped 1 or more game titles. You will also carry some of the following skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Networking Protocols
  • Excellent ability programming C / C++
  • Previous experience and knowledge of firewall traversal, data compression and encryption and distributed algorithms
  • Experience with integrating new technologies into a codebase
  • Excellent knowledge of the Unreal Engine
