Nomad Foods has grown significantly over the past few years and is in the process of expanding its Group FP&A team to meet the needs of the growing business.
The Nomad Finance Team is also going through a period of transformation to deliver its finance manifesto and implement step change improvements to the operating of the finance function across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight and knowledge in a busy Group Finance environment. Working with the Corporate Centre Team this role will drive the reporting and assist in building the forecasts for the Head Office functions.
In the capacity of Finance Analyst this role will provide accurate reporting and cost control to deliver accurate planning and reporting for the Group Head Office Indirect (Opex) costs (circa 90m).
Leading the month-end reporting and monitoring of costs incurred both in Bedfont and cross-charged costs from around the Group.
Identifying and communicating risks and opportunities on a timely basis and driving action plans to control spend.
Preparing month-end results, ensuring the complete and accurate reporting of Indirects, encompassing variance analysis vs forecast and highlighting the impact to the Business Partners
Preparing and posting journals to make any required amendments to cost centre reporting
Owning the Intercompany process to deliver efficient and effective process and supporting the local countries in delivering the process
Leading the budgeting and reporting of the US HO entity
Supporting the Corporate Centre Team to comprehensively partner with Senior Management and budget holders to provide support, cost control and governance and providing ad hoc analysis as required on specific queries from Stakeholders
Updating the Financial model for reporting of actuals and forecasts
Preparing any balance sheet reconciliations for WC forecasts
As part of the Corporate Team drive ZBB mindset and tools to deliver Indirects strategy.
Driving continued improvement, standardisation and automation of reporting and processes both within the Head Office Team and across the European entities
Adhere to compliance and governance frameworks
Ensuring SOX compliance on all key processes
Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA
Experience in a Cost Control environment
Experience in processing journals for accruals, prepayments and reclasses
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and nurture relationships
Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage own workload and work at speed and under pressure
Process driven, with excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to envisage an end-to-end process and work through the steps required to deliver the process in an orderly and timely fashion, including thinking through likely challenges and queries

Personable individual who will inspire confidence and has the ability to build and maintain relationships, including with Senior Management and remotely with overseas Colleagues
Ability to distil large amounts of detailed financial information into key clear messages
The Corporate Centre is often a very fast moving and demanding environment. The ability to deal with change and numerous ad-hoc requests is particularly relevant
Ability to present / explain financial data to non-financial individuals
