Brighton based independent, Bird & Blend Tea Co. are innovative tea blenders, with both bricks and mortar and online international stores.

we are a rapidly growing brand with big ambitions, built from scratch from a bedroom Six years ago by founders Krisi and Mike.

Fab, so what is the role?

Great News , we are setting up shop in the city of Exeter and we are looking for an experienced manager to fly the Bird and Blend flag in our new home! We need someone who is ready for a challenge and can 'spread happiness and reimagin tea' in our newest location all whilst developing a completely new team of people.

All normal tasks involved in a retail store management (HR, VM, admin, H&S, stock management etc.) with a big focus on passionate customer service and spreading the word about the Bird & Blend brand.

You will be responsible for introducing the Bird & Blend Tea Co. brand in the local area which will involve running an amazing store, local marketing, digital marketing, events in and outside of your store as well as growing and working with our wholesale partners.

Sounds brill! Tell me about my responsibilities :

  • Ensuring every single person that walks through the door gets an exceptional experience, provided by an empowered, passionate + happy team.
  • Ensuring the store and its team members are always maximizing every opportunity to spread the Bird & Blend word to as many people as possible, including those who may not be inside the store!
  • All HR for the store team including recruitment, training, development, team meetings, payroll etc
  • Responsible for ordering and management of stock to ensure the store is efficiently but sufficiently stocked and that traceability, rotation and batch dating are up to date.
  • Delivery of new products and seasonal campaign activity including team training, visual merchandising and drinks creation
  • Delivery of in store events such as workshops and external events in the community.
  • Working to embed the brand in the local community via events, wholesale, marketing and community engagement.
  • Highest point of accountability for all cash, security, H&S, food hygiene, cleanliness and safety at work requirements for your store.
  • Analytical research and planning to ensure stock and staffing predictions are always as knowledgeable as possible.
  • Spreading best practice across areas of the business to always be improving processes and activity when it comes our retail stores.

    The role is 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.

    There is some aspect of lone working and our store managers should have full availability, this includes weekends and some late nights.
