We are looking for a Privacy Manager to join our Consumer Healthcare team in Brentford. Following the recent joint venture with Pfizer there has never been a more exciting time to join us! You will step into a global role in which you can help shape the culture and ways of working within this new organisation.

GSK Consumer Health is on a digital transformation journey to ensure it continues provide best in class service to consumers.

The transformation is far reaching from Big Data and AI apps to new media bringing our consumer brands to life. Its critical to ensure we do this in the right way, build trust with our consumers and customers, and data privacy has a front row seat.

We are looking for privacy experience but most importantly we have looking for someone with the rights skills to be a great business partner.

Your responsibilities :

  • Partner with the central commercial business embed privacy-by-design and respond to business needs. You’ll work across digital, marketing, tech, innovation and R&D CH teams
  • Deliver central GSK Consumer Health privacy initiatives, e.g. roll out of new cookie tool
  • Drive a privacy culture and educate stakeholders on why privacy matters and how we can use data in an ethical way to build trust with our consumers
  • Support in market compliance teams with all regional privacy requirements
  • Partner with the business to understand how the changing privacy legislation's impacts of business activities
  • Help build privacy capability with GSK Consumer Health
  • Partner with the Privacy Office on compliance / regulatory matters and ensure their deliverable's are fit for GSK Consumer Health
  • Implement the Consumer Health Privacy risk plan. Ensure the plan is well implemented by measuring vs milestones. You need the agility to pivot in things that don’t work and maximise things that do work
  • Basic qualifications :

  • You will have experience of working in a similar Privacy role
  • CIPP qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Make the complex easy to digest- Privacy can be a complex field and most people aren’t experts. We need a fabulous communicator who can take something complex and tell the business what they need to know and do
  • Great at building relationships
  • Experienced working in a matrix environment. You will have worked across different geographies, cultures and teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and support the business to make good risk based decisions
  • Creative thinking- Most things are possible if done in the right way. You’ll be confronted with some ideas that haven’t been designed with privacy in mind and you might even be engaged in a project late.

  • Passionate about healthcare and customer centric approach
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Prior experience in the Life Sciences / Pharma industry
