About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies : Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.

All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

EKFB are looking to recruit a Finance Manager for our Greatworth to Southam section (G2S) to lead a section of works preferably at PQ - Finalist stage.

With each section being greater than £400M, this represents a large financial exposure that needs active management therein.

  • As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting the operational team on all matters including Cash flow; Cost forecasting;
  • Accruals Management and Information analysis including bespoke reporting.

    You will be part of the section management team and will have ownership of the reporting position, ensuring the content of data is complete and accurate.

    It is key that you monitor ERP system compliance of all data ensuring adherence to Financial Regulations. You must be able to understand and support the compliance with HMRC in the field of VAT and CIS.

    We'd like you to contribute to audit resolution internal and external to ensure a robust and complete set of information exists.

    It's essential in this role that you seek efficiencies where possible, in both systems and processes, for continual business improvement.

    You will also need to undertake ad hoc analysis of information to then support management decision making. This may cover any area within the section that can have a financial impact.

    Key Skills and Qualifications :

  • Analytical IT skills data analysis
  • Prior ERP system usage
  • Organisational skills ability to deal with volumes & timetables
  • Accountancy knowledge to ensure compliance with Financial Regulations in UK
  • Ideally Professional Qualification with an accounting body or part qualified working towards one
