UK Head of Finance
Senior manager job role
To maintain and report accurate accounting records of the companies for statutory and regulatory purposes
Production of monthly financial accounts for KC PLC, KCM Ltd and KC UK Holding.
Preparation of year end statutory accounts (IFRS) and cash flow including liaison with external auditors.
Recording and settlement of intercompany balances
Maintenance and daily updating of accounting records e.g. bank recs and liquidity checks.
Preparation of quarterly and annual FCA returns including review of companies’ financial resources.
Preparation of Insured Billing for Aegon Funds on a monthly basis.
Preparation of Pooled Fund Billing on a quarterly basis.
Preparation of internally prepared Segregated Billing invoices on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Ensure that purchase invoices from the wider Kames business are processed promptly and are adequately reviewed for Bribery Act purposes.
Ensure that daily client money checks are carried out to ensure that any client money within the Kames Capital company bank accounts is identified and treated appropriately within the applicable timescales.
Liaison within Finance and with Client Management to ensure control of debtors.
Liaison with business to ensure income is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
Liaison with Northern Trust for completion of management accounts.
Assist with the completion of revenue and assets reforecasts and budget. Assist in expense budgeting process through analysis of corporate costs.
Maintain awareness and understanding of regulatory issues impacting on the company and the accounts.
Document processes, review them for continued suitability and make recommendations for improvement.
Responsible for compliance with the regulatory and legislative regime as it impacts your role and for ensuring that risks are identified, reported and managed accordingly.
Contribute to ensuring that the AAM Europe CFO domain consistently applies the principles of TCF, demonstrating with words and actions that the client perspective is always considered in decision making.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by his / her manager from time to time so long as such duties are within the scope and ability of the job holder.
Provide assistance / cover for the following tasks :
Processing rebates for Finance in compliance with CASS requirements.
Liaising with multiple departments to ensure effective control over rebate processing (including Sales, Client Management, Legal and Client Support Oversight).
Qualifications, skills and experience
Job holder requires a working knowledge of accountancy preferably within an occupational context.They would be expected either to hold a university level accountancy degree or should have completed base level exams for a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc).
Job holder will be expected to undertake training in a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA). Support will be provided.

The need to maintain and report accurate accounting records of the companies for statutory and regulatory purposes is addressed by successful completion of this role.
The role addresses the need to monitoring the income streams to the business ensuring accurate completion & remittance of invoices.
The role is a key part in the reporting of information within our business unit and also assists with the reporting of our results to our other partners within the AEGON UK group.
It assures the capital adequacy of our companies supported by risk analysis.
Good communication skills are desired to communicate effectively between multiple departments.
Innovative thinking to increase efficiency within the role.
A good sense of Analytical Skills and Problem Solving is desired.
