An Ofsted graded Outstanding’ Secondary school located at the heart of Bolton is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology to join their welcoming staff team from October 2019.

Due to a member of permanent staff set to take maternity leave from half term, the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team is seeking a dynamic practitioner, to ensure all pupils are provided with equal opportunities and that all staff are dedicated and focused on quality, achievement and the wellbeing of the greater school community.

  • Full time Teacher of Design and Technology required from October 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside a relevant degree level qualification within a relevant discipline within Design and Technology.

  • Pay in line with MPS / UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

  • As the successful post-holder your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons designed to foster a passion for the subject and develop skills pupils require to progress.
  • Organising and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in line with monitoring, maintaining resources and equipment ensuring it meets all relevant requirements
  • Operate and order materials, preparation and labelling of equipment and facilitate exhibition work.
  • Located at the heart of Bolton this welcoming Secondary School can be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Preston and Wigan.

    The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
