The scope of role would be to ensure that a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety are maintained in the department at all times;
to be responsible for all training in the department; to enforce the Brand Standards and Company policies, and ensure departmental rules are adhered to at all times;
and to carry out all tasks as directed by the HOD & Assistant.
Duties and Responsabilities
Rostering of the Room Attendants and other team members
Deputize in the absence of the HOD and / or Assistant
Ensure the department is fully operational on a daily basis with adequate staff coverage in the morning, evening and night
Attend to guest complaints, requests or challenges and take appropriate actions
Train employees in all areas of the Department including health & safety (H&S)
Adopt and maintain brand Standard checks on Rooms and Public Areas
Carry out projects as designated by the HOD; assist with Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain an efficient Housekeeping filing system and perform any administrative tasks as directed by the HOD
What we are looking for
Previous experience working within Housekeeping or similar environment preferred.
Previous experience dealing and taking full control of Departmental trainings and H&S trainings.
Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Pro-active and reliable
Good computer skills, excel and microsoft
Able to work alone and within a team
H&S knowledge for training needs
