The New Foscote Hospital has undergone an overhaul of its facilities and are now looking to expand our activities. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistants (HCA) to join our fantastic teams on the ward .

Surgical experience and a willingness to work flexible shifts are desirable. Induction and on-going training will be given.

We encourage HCA colleagues to work in all areas including out-patients, ward and theatres.

For those nursing colleagues that require more flexibility, We are happy to consider applications to join our bank team of nurses.

Duties and responsibilities

Based initially on our wards you will be responsible for providing a caring support service to our patients. You will be providing basic nursing care in conjunction with our qualified nurses which will include observations through to assistance with hygiene and movement.

Who we're looking for :

  • Someone who has experience working as a HCA in a hospital or a Care Home
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • A caring demeanour with great communication skills is a must
  • Ideally you will be NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, but full training will be provided as well as the opportunity to attain this level

    Rated as 'Good' by the CQC, Foscote Hospital was established in Banbury almost 40 years and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region.

    We have over 50 consultants, all of whom are leaders in their specialist fields and choose to hold their private practices here, working alongside our friendly, highly qualified and experienced nursing and support teams.

    The ownership of the hospital was transferred to our new management team on 1st April 2019. The New Foscote Hospital is now a family owned business and provides clinical care to both private, insured and NHS patients, with a strong ethos on caring for our staff.

    Extensive rejuvenation of the estate and updating of the clinical facilities has already started. Phase one of the projects, refurbishment of the outpatient area and reception is already completed.

    Phase 2 includes construction and set up of a comprehensive radiology service including CT and MRI.

    The hospital has an 18-bed inpatient ward, currently one laminar-flow theatre, an endoscopy suite, ambulatory care suite, outpatient clinic suite with small procedures facility and on-site physiotherapy.

    Phase 2 also includes plans to increase theatre capacity.

    Our organisation has strong IT, operational, clinical governance and accountancy support.

    Part-time hours : 37.5 per week
