The Finance Manager is a pivotal member of the Finance team, supporting and overseeing the transactional and financial reporting of both the INAYAH and WED2B businesses.
Ensuring the financial accounting and compliance requirements are carried out in an accurate and timely manner. It is important that the post holder is a diligent and an experienced technical finance professional.
Key responsibilities :
Development of Finance Assistants to ensure transactional team process accurately.
Maintaining key monthly & quarterly Balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparing individual & consolidated management accounts & preparing statutory accounts under IFRS.
Raising & reviewing payment runs for approval and posting approved payments in the general ledger.
Preparing and reviewing quarterly & annual VAT and Corporation tax filings.
Preparing key documentation for each company ready for filing at Companies House.
Documenting company Policy and maintaining the accounting manual.
Maintaining the internal control framework and internal processes.
Liaising with auditors / accountants to ensure compliance with accounting / tax regulations.
Undertake any other adhoc duties required by the Financial Controller or Finance Director.
Qualifications and experience required for this role :
ACA or ACCA Qualified
Fully competent in using IT based accounting packages (ideally Microsoft Dynamics Navision)
Expert Excel user
Experience of managing or supervising a team
Up to date knowledge of accounting regulations
A self-starter, able to prioritise with a flexible approach in order to support the business at busy times and ensure all critical deadlines are met
