We are now looking to appoint a Health & Safety Business Partner who can partner with our Operational Directors & provide a proactive, professional and consultative approach to Health & Safety.
As a Health & Safety Business Partner you will support the senior levels of our business to formulate effective compliance and improvement plans aligned to Amey’s Health & Safety strategy and those of our customers.
You will act as a commercially aware, focused & business minded partner for Health & Safety, collaborating with the leadership teams to help ensure a collective vision that extends beyond health and safety systems and compliance and focuses on our people and their behaviour to help create a positively reinforced learning culture.
We are looking for ambassadors and role models for the HSEQ function who will utilise their business acumen, engaging communication and influencing style to promote Health & Safety and provide expert support across our leadership team.
What are we looking for?
Ideally you will be a Chartered’ Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) however, the essential minimum professional requirements should be GradIOSH and working towards being Chartered.
In addition, you will demonstrate post- qualification experience working in a health and safety or quality assurance role including a partnership approach to applying Health and Safety Legislation.
Ideally you will be working within a similar construction / civil engineering environment experience working within the Water Utilities would be preferable.
You should have experience in conducting Health and Safety audits and drafting formal documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential along with the ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
