Working as a Project / Support Worker in Longhills, you will be joining the Complex Needs team, dedicated to providing clients with complex needs and / or mental health issues with a safe environment in which to build their confidence, promote opportunities for positive change and support their recovery journey and move on.
Working as a Project / Support Worker you will undertake key working activities such as referrals / interviews / booking in clients and housing management activities such as finances, resettlement and health and hygiene.
You will also assist clients to develop and care for themselves, by providing advice and guidance on personal care and relevant life skills.
We are looking for people who have an excellent understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people you may have had personal experience of homelessness yourself.
You will have experience of helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
You will also have a sound understanding of the support needs of people with low incomes, including rent payments / arrears and professional boundary issues.
Good numeracy, I.T and written communication skills are also required. As are having knowledge and understanding of the statutory and voluntary services in Bristol.

Flexibility is required, as you’ll be working a shift rota that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.
