The opportunity

We are currently recruiting highly talented ITTS tax technical professionals to join our innovative and dynamic teams based in the UK.

Successful candidates will be offered 2 year assignments to join either our UK based US Tax Desks, subject to successful UK visa application and approval, if required.

Your key responsibilities will be :

  • Offer tax-focused client service solutions to internal EY teams and EMEIA clients with respect to cross-border transactions, restructurings, financings, joint ventures, etc.
  • including performing tax due diligence and tax structuring services

  • Proactively translate topical US tax considerations and issues into clear client solutions
  • Deal with market disruption on an on-going basis, such as US tax reforms, to provide the most up to date guidance to our clients
  • Educate the EMEIA market, both internal EY and external clients, on EY’s US International Tax and Transaction Services ( ITTS ) practice and service offerings
  • Proactively work with EY client teams to scope client solutions into engagements in an innovative and proactive way
  • Build pipeline and engagements with inbound clients.
  • Review US tax legislative updates and opportunities to share with our clients
  • Review US tax outputs and compile tax analytics
  • Skills and attributes for success

  • US Transaction Tax Advisory ( TTA ) or International Corporate Tax Advisory ( ICTA ) tax specialists with in-depth tax technical knowledge of US mergers & acquisitions tax and international tax law
  • Professionals with the intellect and curiosity to be able to translate complex tax issues into clear, innovative and competitive client solutions
  • Strong tax technical writing skills
  • Internal and external client experience and ability to establish trusted relationships
  • Self-starters keen to assist with various marketing initiatives
  • Our expectations will align appropriately to the level of the individual (Manager or Senior Manager), but all candidates should have proven ability to develop strong client relationships and ultimately be able to establish themselves as respected and trusted business advisors
  • To qualify for the role you must have

  • US Certified public accountant and / or Tax lawyer
  • Degree qualified
  • Experienced tax practitioner with US tax background
  • Experience working with large client accounts on international tax issues
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Project management skills, the ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines and monitor own budget
