Overview

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a project controls manager to work on the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (VMIC) project who meets the following requirements :

Responsibilities

  • Participate in benchmark review of estimate and timelines
  • Validate schedule, undertake Schedule Risk Assessment, and produce report
  • Undertake estimate validation using estimate validation tool and review with core team
  • Facilitate Cost Risk Assessment and produce report
  • Hold alignment meetings to agree reporting and development of estimates.
  • Assist project lead with invoice review & payment
  • Assist in providing benchmark data for estimate validation purposes
  • Undertake validation of estimate using validation tool and establish contingency with the core team
  • Report status of Project Controls activities to project lead monthly
  • Document savings / target savings estimate
  • Coordinate development of total project cost estimate including estimate management and review
  • Establish estimate base document for approved project and monthly update including forecasts of final cost and cashflow
  • Prepare executive status reports on behalf of Project Lead, review and publish monthly
  • Assist Project Lead with invoice review & payment
  • Develop Project Change Management Process
  • Document project scope changes
  • Align finalised Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) strategy to budget and schedule
  • Finalise total project cost estimate
  • Establish estimate base document and monthly update including forecasts of final cost and cashflow
  • Finalise and agree contract packages final accounts
  • Establish final estimate document aligned with Client finance requirements
  • Publish final Executive Status Report
  • Document final savings
  • To monitor financial performance of the project and advise of deviations from budget
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedule incorporating long lead equipment and Contractor input and report monthly on variations
  • Agree schedule work breakdown structure
  • Report status of Contractor activities to project lead monthly
  • Assist Project Lead with review of design team hours and deliverables including earned value
  • Finalise schedule work breakdown structure
  • Coordinate schedules and facilitate integrated planning sessions
  • Degree qualification in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent academic achievement
  • Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution) including MRICS qualification (or equivalent).
  • Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a can-do’ attitude, polite, patient, diplomatic, respectful and flexible
  • Qualifications

  • Experience of working with Pharmaceutical & Life Science Clients and / or Government Organisations is ideal, but not essential.
  • Experience of working in GMP, vaccine manufacturing and / or high containment facilities and environments (SAPO / ACDP) is ideal, but not essential.
  • Experience of NEC contract administration using strong commercial and contractual management.
