The Senior Content Director (SAD) is responsible for delivering first class client work across one of our global FMCG brands.

Driving creative strategy and content planning across the sponsorship programme, the SCD is the lead content client contact across all four current football partners.

The SCD is the important link between the client account team(s), client(s) and the Football partners, so plays a vital role in maintaining the communications link and managing the output of all external facing comms.

We want someone who will represent the CSM business in an extremely professional manner, with experience in handling global accounts, consumer brands as well as high profile partnerships with creativity and energy.

  • Lead the content output to deliver first class creative and content for the global Unilever client
  • Provide creative and strategic guidance and insight to the account teams to ensure that brand and business objectives are met
  • Maintain overall responsibility of content performance across the brand and ultimate client accountability
  • Guide and lead KPI creation, brand planning proposals, deliverable and growth targets for client relationships
  • Responsible for all elements of content programme from strategy, planning, production and amplification
  • Understand how to work with Football Partners and talent to maximise their contractual outputs and performance to ensure delivery and implementation of assets is maximised.
  • Investigate, analyse and develop solutions to client problems
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the client throughout their relationships in football
  • Grow and retain a strong network of key industry personnel across sponsors, tracks, teams, clubs, rights holders and media for the benefit of the client and the business
  • Build a strong rapport with the Business Director and day to day account lead to develop a strong client account team within CSM.

  • Work alongside peers, account teams and superiors to develop further strategies and activation ideas to drive more work for CSM resulting in growth and increased financial success
  • Management of a budget to maximise client returns and agency profitability
  • Leading & Developing Others

  • Lead a team of 16 people
  • Foster an environment of open communication, collaboration and team work
  • Encourage on-going learning and development of team
  • Conduct timely and beneficial performance reviews with direct reports. Ensure that direct reports are doing the same with subordinates
  • Collaborate across the leadership of other business units within CSM to continue to deliver best in class client servicing, Account Management processes and training & development opportunities
  • Cross agency collaboration

  • Extensive experience in a similar position with a proven track record of success across Account Management, Brand Planning and Brand Activation.
  • Proven experience leading creative and strategic responses to client briefs
  • Prior agency experience including past success in managing brands that invest substantial budgets in global sponsorship, and work with global markets
  • Acumen to look at business performance and drive incremental account growth
  • Understanding of brands, rights holders and competitor agencies
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including both forecasting and reporting
  • Full comprehension and ownership of agency-client dynamic
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated empathy and commitment to success, along with a proven ability to manage expectations
  • Confident, articulate, passionate individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as well as ability to listen
  • Willingness and ability to engage in foreign travel
