Main Purpose of the Role
To provide strong technical ownership and leadership around the product group (Cluster) and execute the product strategy as defined within the product roadmap.
Enable new products and services to be brought to market in a highly effective way, developing long term profitable revenue streams of significance to the business.
Role includes market research and analysis, opportunity identification & verification and life cycle management of assigned products.
Required to have a high level of initiative and a proactive mindset. Must be highly organised and be able to analyse data quickly and accurately.

Duties & Key Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the assigned product range and communicate the key attributes and business benefits to colleagues and key customers.
Work across the business to gain the support of all key internal stakeholders to support the company’s vision of growth for the assigned product range.
Monitor and measure the product sales and margin performance to ensure growth objectives are met.
Utilise the tools and techniques of the Unipart Way
Conception and execution of idea & innovation product development workshops within the business.
Own the opportunity identification stage of the product lifecycle.
Develop business cases to support the move into new customer markets, geographical areas or new ranges of products or services.
Conduct market research and analysis to support the product development, enabling a broad and detailed knowledge of the market relevant to the product range.
This will include qualitative and quantitative research to understand competitors, customer requirements, developments and innovations, new market entrants and the overall market dynamics.
Work with Marketing to develop clear and informative marketing, sales aids and promotional material.
Make good use of available data to produce robust and informed performance models for the product range.
Provide the business with a commercially astute perspective on the product range

Support all areas of the business as required with the requisite technical expertise on the product to exploit sales opportunities
