Havering Adult College are now looking to recruit a sessional part-time Travel and Tourism teacher. Courses are predominantly evenings, during term time and once a week.
Havering Adult College offers a wide range of courses in a variety of subjects and venues across the Borough to learners aged 16+.

Successful candidates should hold : - SVUK endorsed Level 4 Teaching Qualification for post-compulsory settings- GCSE A C English and maths qualifications (or equivalent) -
A qualification in the subject (or relevant experience) appropriate to the Level(s) of the course(s) advertised here- Assessor Certificate (Level 3) Consideration will be given to exceptional applicants who do not hold, but are willing to gain, their Teaching Qualification and Assessor Certificate, if successful.
Details of this can be discussed at interview. The successful applicants will be responsible for planning and delivering the courses, as well as their own travel to and from the delivery centres.
You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and have extensive knowledge and skills related to the area(s) of teaching and the ability to research, produce and use teaching resources to maintain high standards of learning in different environments including the use of e-
learning. It is also essential that you have a desire to develop and use new methods of teaching and learning to engage and motivate your learners.
In line with national priorities, you will also be expected to support and develop your learners’ English and maths skills.
