Who are we?

Airband, a high growth, private equity backed Telecoms company is looking for a Financial Controller to join their business to help professionalise and streamline the function.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for running the day to day finance operations, closing the month end and supporting the CFO on financial strategy.

The role

Full responsibility and oversight for monthly close process, control environment, tax, treasury, and audit requirements across the group.

Given the change mandate, broad responsibility, compelling growth journey and close collaboration with a strategically focused CFO / executive team / investors, the role will be a superb platform for an ambitious candidate looking for a route to FD / CFO position in the future.

The role can be offered on an interim or permanent basis.

Responsibilities :

  • Ownership of month end close and all management reporting
  • Lead year end and the internal audit process, being the point of contact for external auditors
  • Implement financial controls, processes and a risk and governance framework
  • Drive the improvement of all financial processes, tools, systems
  • Management of the annual budget process and provision of monthly forecasts
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on all company activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Requirements :

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with several years post qualification experience
  • Prior experience in the Telecom / Infrastructure industry would be beneficial
  • Prior experience of working in a PE-backed SME business with associated shareholder and lender / debt covenant reporting helpful
  • Confident, self-starter and ability to work independently in a high growth and dynamic environment
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Great communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Willingness to support team with sleeves rolled up in any area as necessary
