Reporting to the Train Presentation Manager, the Duty Manager will take the operational lead for their shift in ensuring that the contracted services perform to the highest standards, fulfil all contractual obligations delivering train presentation cleaning to expected standards.
The Duty Manager will maintain and deliver the standard for safety, quality, time and cost. Working closely with the Train Presentation Manager and Operations Manager the DM will monitor and be accountable for the site goals to improve on service delivery and operational performance, developing shared goals with stakeholders and internal teams to grow the relationship.
Duties will include
Manage & Monitor the following :
Check BOX for successful uploads of cleaning videos & pics for the previous day
Ensure the water-tanking record is being kept on tablets on both half-sets
Magazine Restocking & Replenishing process
Manage Stock Level checks for all the teams : NSN, M Clean and *SPI Night Team (*Team Leader will monitor stock levels SPI)
Keys for the stock room given out only when requested. A form completed as to what is required & checked off when keys returned When the keys are returned the items should be checked off
CHECK-CLEAN-USE. Random checks at beginning at end of shift
Order of work / priorities for LDA team : 1. LDA- 2. Other Requests. 3. BP Carpets. (4 days e320s only / 1 day only e300)
Manage Depot work & Office cleaners etc when the operations manager is not on site. Liaise with The Depot Supervisor and Team Leader
LDA Team Duties / Work. Quality Control / Audit including checking LDA area for cleanliness & tidiness at both ends
Manage M clean - Quality Control / Audits
Make sure roads are tidy and clean at the end of each shift
The DM role will have responsibility and accountability for leading the effective operational delivery and facilitation of all Services within their locations
Liaise closely with the Supervisors and the operations team to ensure common service delivery standards and collaborative working
Working closely with the Train Presentation Manager and collaborating with the Operations Manager DMs will review and implement new initiatives, legislation and other changes both internal and external
The successful candidate
A proven track record in Management, specifically cleaning with experience of leading and motivating a team
Experience of implementing, reviewing and achieving the standard for safety, quality, time and cost
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to operate and build credibility with the client
Excellent diplomacy skills combined with the confidence and resilience to handle potential conflict situations
Ability to resolve conflicting issues and priorities
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Flexible working attitude to accommodate the contract requirements and changing business needs
Good IT skills including use of Word, Excel and Outlook and Internet Explorer and any other CAFM system / applications
Organisation skills for meeting deadlines and supporting others to do the same
Relationship building, Customer Care, Self-development, Leadership, Decision-making techniques, Problem-solving, Initiative / lateral thinking, HSE experience, Interpersonal, Planning and Organisational Skills
Ability to produce reports and managing data
Knowledge of Transport contracts especially Trains
Experience of working in a large complex organisation
Qualifications and Professional Standards :
Recognised Health and Safety qualifications e.g. IOSH.
BICS License to practice
