ScentAir is searching for a Human Resources Coordinator for our Rotterdam, UK and Germany organization. The position reports to the SVP EMEA with a dotted line relationship to the Global VP Human Resource based out of the United States.
The position will be responsible for our EMEA operations and based out of Rotterdam or London.
The Human Resources Coordinator is a critical member of the EMEA leadership team. This role is low level strategic in coordination and directives from Headquarters, scope on three small multi facility employees.
The role is responsible and accountable for administration, coordination and delivery of human resource functions including benefits enrollment, processing and administration, assisting VP of HR in human resource policies, programs, and practices, including planning, organizing, and coordinating.
Recruiting knowledge is also preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers various human resources projects, processes, and strategies regarding company human capital, employee management, knowledge of labor laws and conflict resolution.
Maintains HRIS and payroll processing systems including vendor alignment, internal access, audit, and process configuration.
Administers and assures accuracy of pay via outsourced payroll providers, and management of all pay-related functionality for Rotterdam, UK and Germany including commissions processing for sales personnel.
Manages employee relations issues including conflicts and appropriate resolution; assist with Performance Improvement Plan delivery as required.
Coordinates as necessary with the management team for recruiting needs and process.
Responsible for onboarding process of the new employees.
Responsible for administering at the local level : compensation / remuneration; equal employment / affirmative action;
job descriptions; new hire and termination processing; all metrics; training and development; non-wired training records;
and salary planning coordination with local General Managers and VP of Human Resources
Responsible for taking a hands-on approach and successfully monitoring the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Acts as a valued and trusted partner for employees.
Responsible for the administration and communication of all benefit (governmental and other) plans to employees, including any applicable enrollment process.
Serves as liaison and employee advocate as required and assist in resolving problems and questions.
Coordinates and works with Temporary Agencies relative to all temporaries.
Conducts new-employee orientations; provides employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Advises management on employee relations issues, maintains record of employee performance coaching and performance improvement plans.
Provides public information such as verifying employment, respond to unemployment claims and lead department with appeals, monitors workers' compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier.
Oversees HR metric reporting. Ensure timely reporting of data by HR department staff for the presentation of metrics to executive level staff.
Assist in the development of HR dashboards and reporting conduits.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of six (5-8) years of Human Resources experience and Continued progression of HR responsibilities through policy, knowledge of multi country labor laws is required, recruiting.
Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
Must be fluent in French, English and preferably one other language.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
Speaks and writes clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills.
Demonstrates discretion and confidentiality in all circumstances.
