Cygnet Sedgley House and Cygnet Sedgley Lodge offer a 34 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men with complex needs.
The service is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy and dignity.
Cygnet Sedgley Lodge , a 14 bed service that gives them increased independence, and a more outward-looking community-based programme.
In this role you will :
Help Patients to socialise within the Hospital, providing a variety of activities, which cater for all tastes. Assist patients in accessing activities and identifying needs.
Plan and implement five day rolling / individual programmes, as well as encouraging Patients to maintain pre-existing hobbies after discussion with Occupational Therapist.
To prepare and maintain appropriate materials for activities. Encourage Staff, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Hospital's activities and to arrange Hospital visits as appropriate.
Deliver planned activities for patients under the direction of Occupational Therapy department and Multidisciplinary Team.
Contribute ideas, create and facilitate events and activities safely and support people to structure their time through meaningful activity
