What you’ll be doing
Photobox is building a data-driven Performance Marketing Team with the clear goal of acquiring new customers and ensuring our marketing investment is driving incremental value to the group.
We constantly challenge and evolve our approach to stay ahead of our competitors. The team is united through our shared objective to continually test and learn, be the best-in-class on execution and drive growth.
Our products are available in 12 markets with an ambition to expand further. European markets are one of our core business units and are targeted for significant growth in the coming months.
To deliver the growth plan, we are looking for an experienced European language-speaking Performance Marketing Manager. The role will report to the Performance Marketing Director and be tasked with driving new customer sales.
As our Performance Marketing Manager for European markets, you will be responsible for :
Expanding our customer acquisition strategy through all performance marketing channels. The immediate priority is to review and rebuild the current PPC campaigns.
Be hands-on with implementation, ongoing management and optimisation. Deliver a step-change in sales performance through restructuring and increased investment.
Work closely with the Affiliate and Paid Social Teams to share learnings and expedite growth in these channels. Develop both quick win and long term opportunities collaboratively, and support implementation.
Ensure all campaigns operate to agreed budget and ROMI (return on marketing investment).
Establish and maintain a clear Test and Learn plan to increase reach, optimise click thru-rate, optimise conversion rate (via offer testing and customer journey) and maximise customer lifetime value.
Work closely with the Marketing Analyst to measure and validate the incrementality of existing and new initiatives.
Proactively build business cases to drive incremental sales with an incremental budget.
Deliver daily / weekly / monthly and ad-hoc reports as directed.
Work closely with the Trading Team to share learnings on offer performance and maximise overall sales delivery.
Work closely with Product Innovation to launch and test new products.
Work closely with Product Teams to ensure payment options, customer journey, content and features are tailored and optimised for the European markets.
Actively identify customer friction points and propose improvements. Create and share value cases with relevant stakeholders to influence, get the buy-in and agree on a timeline for solution implementation.
Monitor and update the business on competitors activities (marketing, product launches, promotions, platform change, business performance, etc.).
You are fluent in English and are a native speaker in at least one European language
You have a strong understanding of the marketing landscape in Europe, preferably offline aswell.
You are fully hands-on. Plan and execute to drive immediate results.
You are comfortable navigating through ambiguity and change.
Essential skills and experience :
4+ years experience working for online European ecommerce / retail businesses.
Demonstrate market knowledge for online businesses to succeed in Europe (Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands & Switzerland)
Advanced strategic and operational knowledge of Paid Search (Google and Bing). Able to manage end-to-end; from campaign strategy to campaign build, through to optimisation and reporting.
Operationally capable in other digital acquisition channels : Paid Social (minimum Facebook, Pinterest and Snapchat will be advantageous), Affiliates, Display (prospecting / remarketing) and Mobile.
Able to crunch large data with ease and draw conclusions and recommendations.
Proficient with Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Affiliate platforms (Commission Junction and Affiliate Window) and Excel.
SQL will be advantageous.
Google Ads certified : AdWords Fundamentals, Search, Shopping.
Google Analytics Individual Qualification.
Able to quickly build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive change.
