Your Role :
This is an exciting opportunity to work with The Sun Head of Partnerships & Promotions to drive the partnerships and promotions calendar.
This includes all tier one promotions (biggest, TV driven promotions) as well as the rest of the promotional calendar, to drive an increase in Sun circulation uplift, Sun Online and Sun Savers membership / engagement.
You will continually work with and support both internal and external stakeholders / partners as well as the editorial teams to successfully deliver each promotion.
Day to day you will :
To play a role in contributing to wider marketing plans, working with the brand team to ensure campaigns feed into the wider strategy for The Sun
To work with promotions agencies and partners on the organisation of both customer facing activity, fulfilment and backend tech requirements
To work with the editorial team, on maximising the campaigns, both in print and digitally
To monitor the effectiveness of all promotional investments, responsible for all campaign wash ups and sharing the results with wider teams
To use results and data to drive and inform all future promotions
To execute promotions and partnerships activity, through both direct and above the line communications to various different customer groups both digital and print
Work with the brand, promotion and the circulation team to ensure promotions will deliver on total circulation sale, or digital KPIs
Understanding The Sun marketing values, its positioning and key competitive advantages and translate this into meaningful and effective marketing solutions.
Future-proof the brand by developing optimum positioning with promotions
What we’re looking for from you :
An understanding and experience at using a variety of marketing and communication levers
Preferable, but not essential, experience in the media industry
Commercially and organisationally astute
A passion for our brands
First rate communications skills including outstanding ability to brief 3rd parties and colleagues
Good negotiation and relationship skills and an ability to operate within a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
