The way we work across TUI Group Airlines is changing. Our goal in In Flight Supply Chain is to be the single service provider to the TUI Group Airlines for all on-

board supply chain needs. This change will take us from five logistics operations with a limited supplier base and focus on downstream logistics to a pan-

European logistics function with end to end focus, scale and expertise. We will work with suppliers of choice, operating with transparency and control, to enable activity based charging and a KPI-

driven team of supply chain experts.

The main purpose of this role is to deliver a business improvement strategy that supports the Head of Inflight Supply Chain in optimising our solutions that need to deliver excellent service levels to our internal stakeholders whilst ensuring costs are optimised across all aspects of the supply chain.

The role will be accountable for identifying improvement opportunities across the network for the benefit of the five TUI airlines.

As a member of the IFSC management team, the Business Improvement Manager is accountable for delivering the IFSC strategy and to review and optimise all aspects of the supply chain.

The need to build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, supply chain team members and external suppliers will be a key component to being successful.

The role will play a lead part in driving a data driven supply chain where key business decisions can be made by utilising and analysing data.

This role can be based at either our Luton, Amsterdam, Brussels, Hanover or Stockholm office.

What you will be doing :

As the Business Improvement Manager you will be accountable for identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives aligned with the supply chain strategy defined by the Head of Supply Chain.

The Business Improvement Manager will be a key representative of Inflight Supply Chain with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.

You will be the business owner for all business improvement initiatives across the supply chain and will be required to document and report on all associated activity.

There will be a Continuous Improvement and Projects Manager reporting directly to you. This person will project manage business improvements defined by you and signed off by the Head of Inflight Supply Chain.

As part of the IFSC management team, you will be responsible for delivering improvements driven by data and ensuring that improvement opportunities are soundly backed by business cases developed in line with the strategy and business plans of our internal stakeholders in mind.

What we are looking for :

  • Degree calibre or substantial relevant experience
  • A proven track record of delivering innovation in business and operational processes ; a tenacious and principled approach to delivering change, harnessing problems and challenges as opportunities
  • Confidence in exploring new, unfamiliar ideas and delivering radical change in difficult business environments
  • Vision and capacity to transform existing complex and obscure supply chain arrangements into transparent, flexible and controlled networks
  • Experience of planning and coordinating complex actions plans, ensuring working practices and methods are clearly structured and organized to deliver to multiple internal customers
  • Manages the delivery of complex operations maintaining effective monitoring procedures; plans for problems or obstacles before they arise and works with service partners to spot and resolve issues before impacting on business performance
  • An autonomous, proactive and insightful leader with appreciation of the formal and informal influences and structures within an organisation;
  • works effectively to involve stakeholders in business decisions by building trust and gaining consensus with people across all levels of the organisation and across different countries

  • Ability to identify and anticipate customer needs and market developments; an understanding of how to translate trends in to specific responses to ensure TUI remains in line with, or ahead of, the market
  • Uses data to generate insight; understands the benefit of MI to manage, improve and change the business
  • Cultural sensitivity, with experience of working as part of a pan-European team
  • Able to operate as a trusted partner to multiple source markets, and to influence the application of common solutions and best practice in all airlines
  • Able to travel as and when required, mainly but not limited to Europe and Nordics.
  • Strong business English is mandatory and fluency in other European languages an advantage
