Department Overview

TheTeam consults with stakeholders to analyze, define, and prioritize businessrequirements and functional and operational specifications for a functionalwork stream.

Formulates and defines program scope and objectives for theworkstream with thorough understanding of business processes in a specificbusiness domain.

Represents the business to all areas in resolving issuesand developing both business and technology solutions. May lead staff onspecific projects.

Job Purpose

Collectsand defines business or functional requirements and translates them intofunctional design, test planning, and user documentation processes.

Formulatesproject scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions based upon user needs aswell as knowledge of the application.

Participatesin development of the functional design and user documentation by analyzingbusiness process flows or client requests and identifying changes.

Uses knowledge of business needs to providedesign support to software and application development teams.

Gathersinformation and provides analysis of business issues or client feedback for aspecific function or application.

Trainsusers on new or enhanced applications and / or systems that are morestraightforward in nature.

Supportstesting of new or enhanced applications and / or systems. Tasks include case development, requirementtraceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional testexecution.

Identifies areas forimprovement and works with technology teams to improve applications forbusiness use.

Usesgeneral knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporatepolicies involving risk and control to support the development of improvedbusiness processes through technology.

  • Qualifications

    Bachelors degree or theequivalent combination of education and experience in business management orrelated field is required.

    3-5 years of total workexperience preferred. Technicalexperience preferred.

    Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills required.
