My client is a mulit-disciplined well known main contractor with a superb reputation within Civil Engineering, Rail and Construction.
They are well established and have been trading for over 60 years. There national presence has given them the opportunity to open and maintain 7 national offices, covering locations such as London, Kent, Surrey, Liverpool and Southampton (this role will be based in London Waterloo) and they are turning over £250M.
This position has come about due to the on growing growth of the company and they have recently won a new Framework within their rail division.
The projects that they get involved in range in value from £200,000 up to £24M and they see them through from inception to completion.
There Pre-Construction team has a tremendous amount of experience of over 40 years within Rail and Civil Engineering which helps the more junior staff to learn and train in the correct way.
About the opportunity
My client is looking for an Estimator to join their Rail division in London Waterloo. The successful candidate has a great opportunity to progress into a Senior estimator in the next few years.
As a result of winning the Framework this now gives the successful candidate the opportunity of 5 years guaranteed work within a nice friendly environment.
The type of works that you will get involved in range from Tunnelling Maintenance, major earthworks, bridges, platform extensions, building Multi Story Car parks and building new stations.
These projects will range in value from £200,000 £22M. They are looking for somebody who is interested in a long-term job and willing to progress their career.
Ideally, they are looking for somebody to Co-ordinate with the bid management team to develop a schedule of key dates for individual estimates (enquiries, pricing, and adjudication).
No Freelancers will be considered for this opportunity.

You will be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction , Civils, Business of equivalent qualification.
It is important to have experience working within civil engineering as an Estimator and to show good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for, ideally at least 3 years per company.
You will also need a full UK driver’s license to allow to get from the office to the construction site and to other locations you might require to visit.
