The Perform Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager to join the Group’s senior finance team based in our global headquarters in Middlesex and to work with the rapidly changing Perform business to provide tax support.
For the right person this will represent a significant but hugely exciting challenge in the context of a young, entrepreneurial but extremely well-
run and fast-growing business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
Working with the Group Head of Tax and Treasury to set the Group’s overall global tax strategy and approach
Assisting with providing tax advice to the Core Perform business on specific projects, for example, acquisitions, disposals, group restructuring, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, withholding taxes Actively managing and mitigating any potential tax risks Global transfer pricing, documentation and benchmarking for non DAZN markets Ensuring the Group complies with its global tax and statutory filing responsibilities in non DAZN markets Calculating and preparing tax charges, provisions and notes both for the purposes of accounting and tax computations for the Perform Group Leading the review of corporate tax and Sales tax returns in non DAZN markets Managing the relationship and interaction with global tax authorities and our external tax advisors in non DAZN markets Assisting with planning and delivering the Group’s corporate reorganisation and simplification plans alongside the in-
house and external lawyers and accountants Monitor changes in the tax environment tin particular changes to PE rules and tax on digital business in order to understand their impact on the group Managing and developing two direct reports and line management for one VAT Manager and CT Manager Acting as a single point of contact for the core Perform group for tax matters DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
Outstanding technical tax skills
The excellent interpersonal skills required to work with effectively with colleagues across cultures and disciplines to ensure that the Group achieves compliance with a web of complex international requirements which may sometimes be perceived as inconvenient, unnecessary and an obstacle to business Significant experience of working in-
house on international tax advisory and international tax compliance, or will have worked in a leading private practice tax team with experience of working closely on international tax compliance and advisory matters including in respect of tax strategy, policy and risk frameworks Experience of international tax including transfer pricing, withholding tax, debt and IP Experience of effectively managing external (or other) advisers and consultants on ongoing and project-
based work The desire and ability to innovate and to tackle challenges positively and creatively. A highly flexible and unflappable approach to handling a large workload in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities and unpredictable demands A dynamic but measured personality with excellent presentational and influencing skills A very high level of personal drive and motivation and the ability to progress matters with a significant degree of independence A genuine curiosity about the Group’s business and the implications of tax for the Group and its products DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in industry working for a Multinational Corporation
Experience of working for a Digital Media company
