Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be working with a new client who are expanding their product portfolio into UK market and we are excited to be recruiting for a Key Account Manager (KAM) in Manchester.

Our client is based in the UK and dedicated to acquiring branded mature pharmaceutical products globally. As part of ongoing growth in Europe, our client is looking to launch a product for the treatment of severe diarrhoea in adults resulting from cancer medication, radiation or certain tumours.

The KAM will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships to grow our client's business. Within the last 3 years, they have built a business with an impressive annual sale of € +150 Mill spread over more than 90 countries globally.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mind-set with an independent working style and motivated by autonomy. This opportunity will suit someone who is extremely ambitious, has a high level of strategic and analytical thinking around a product, initiative, drive and commitment.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) -

  • Formulate comprehensive and insightful key account plans to build, manage and improve trustful relationships with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate activities within key accounts
  • Ensure successful launch of the product and continued sales of company portfolio
  • Deliver agreed strategy and all necessary tactics within the key accounts to drive performance, including and not limited to delivering product and therapeutic knowledge, detailing to prescribers, and liaising with hospital pharmacies
  • Responsible for ensuring the company's products are available and listed on local formulary and / or protocols within your accounts (in-field market access)
  • Manage and develop KOL relationships
  • Operate in a manner that is always in line with compliance and legal requirements and according to the marketing and sales strategies
  • Gain and share customer insights through appropriate and relevant customer and account profiling (Market surveillance), including Perform local marketing and sales analyses and gain patient flow insights
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve outstanding results
  • Participate at congresses, meetings and training
  • Document and report daily activities
  • Share best practice and champion Key Account Management approach
  • Track and communicate KPIs and performance metrics as defined in the account plan
  • Essential Skills

  • Experienced Key Account Manager with experience in promoting innovative pharmaceutical products preferably in the area of oncology / gastroenterology
  • Knowledge of the UK's health care system and experience in communicating and negotiating with healthcare decision-makers and managing complex networks
  • High level of strategic and analytical thinking around a product, initiative, drive and commitment
  • Acts with a pro-active, enthusiastic mind set
  • Strong in building and maintaining relationships
  • Can communicate and gain respect with stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Ability to communicate cross functional and international
  • IT Literate / Microsoft office, digitally savvy
