Your team : Content Platforms. Content Platforms supports the digital newsrooms managing large amount of high quality content.

Our focus is on simplifying and transforming the digital tooling and content systems to allow our content creators to spend more time on creativity and innovation rather than content management.

We are a diverse team currently spread between London and Bangalore.

Your role : Software Engineer. We are looking for a talented and passionate Software Engineer to join our team based in London Bridge.

Day to day you will : As a Software Engineer you will be helping us reshape our architecture and systems, working with our Principal Engineers to ensure what we build is fit for the future.

You will be working with a variety of different codebases and systems, primarily written in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.

js), but other languages too. You’ll be helping to build new tools and improve existing ones to improve the lives of our colleagues in the newsrooms.

What we’re looking for from you : You’re a true engineer with a passion for clean, well crafted and tested code. You understand agile methodologies and enjoy collaboration.

You have a continuous improvement mindset and are always looking to improve.

You love engineering and constantly want to learn more. You do thorough code reviews to be sure what we produce is of a very high standard.

You understand the value of and are a practitioner of TDD / BDD. You're flexible and open to learning everything we have to offer, expanding your skillset with us.

As a Software Engineer you’ll be ensuring our applications and infrastructure meet modern and high standards and best practices.

You’ll be a mentor to your team members and a source of technical expertise in your areas of strength and will learn from others with different strengths.

You’ll find these skills useful in this role :

  • Writing and maintaining JavaScript / TypeScript applications with Node.js
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)

    React or similar framework knowledge

    Understanding of CMSs, bonus if you have experience with WordPress
