About the opportunity
Ellucian is seeking a Product Manager for an innovative, collaborative, hands-on role as the voice of the customer who will provide focus and day-to-day oversight to the team working on our current and future payments processing capabilities.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will drive, shape, and influence the right customer experience and operational flows for payment processing that are necessary for our SIS / ERP and CRM focused solutions.

Influencing our payments strategy based on customer, partner, and global requirements
Owning current and future payments solutions and drive backlogs and priorities
Engaging with customers and partners globally to understand the job(s) our application needs to do for them, building empathy-based user experience requirements, and growing customer trust in Ellucian as a critical partner through every interaction
Owning and resolve critical problems by ensuring that the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve and anticipate problems.
Team coordination to investigate issues, implement solutions and preventative measures. In short, you get things done.
Serving as a key role with the Product team. Prioritize work and manage dependencies across the product portfolio by : Providing product development direction and advocating for customers and partners;
Overseeing and influencing the writing of features, user stories, acceptance criteria as well as refining the overall backlog;
Ensuring solutions meet company-wide requirements in terms of non-functional performance, security, compliance, and social responsibility;
Supporting betas and development partner groups when applicable;Supporting backlog prioritization activities, defect analysis, and complex problem definition including alignment of user stories and acceptance criteria with epics, initiatives, and themes.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Two years experience in the payment / eCommerce space with knowledge of payment processing and associated compliance / security requirements in the Global markets, including understanding credit card, debit card, ACH, and other payment methods
At least three years’ experience working as a product manager or product owner
Experience working within SaaS product development
Experience with integrations methods and technologies, mainly real-time
Experience working in higher education
Awareness of blockchain and other relevant technologies used in payments processing
Experience supporting a product P&L
Transformative product maturity experience, ideally from on-premise legacy solutions to SaaS capabilities
Experience communicating product vision and decisions across geographically distributed teams
