Duties and responsibilities :
Operational management of the wards
Manage the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of planned care for patients, whilst managing more than one clinical team, in a safe and caring environment, in the most efficient and clinically effective way, whilst maintaining the patient’s privacy and dignity.
Providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership and appropriate advice and support to other staff in the department as well as supporting the Head of Clinical Services in the overall management of the healthcare environment.
Working clinically leading by example, setting expected standards and supervising and assessing nursing staff on a regular basis.
Who we're looking for : NMC registered
Min NHS Band 7 or equivalent experience
Experience of managing a surgical ward (essential)
Experience of governance report writing (essential)
Experience in change management (desirable)
