Manufacturing Technician A global manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Technician with a lean manufacturing background to join their team due to continued growth & expansion.

The Manufacturing Technician will provide technical support to Production to improve processes to aid lean manufacturing initiatives.

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for : Provide training to shop floor perso el to maximise potential and minimise error riskImplement Lean Manufacturing initiativesCollate data for process improvementsValue Engineering of New & Existing productsBuild custom equipment & tooling for productionImprove design for manufacturabilityAuthor process documentation for assemblyLead Root Cause Analysis activitiesIdentify reduction in lead times through cycle time studies & process improvementsRead and interpret engineering drawings to determine assembly methodsUse Bill of Materials (BOMs) to determine component partsMake electrical co ections according to specification from wiring diagramsSkills / Experience / Knowledge required to be successful : Interested in speaking with experienced Manufacturing Technicians, Production Technicians, Process Technicians, Cell Technicians in a busy manufacturing / assembly environmentBackground in Lean ManufacturingBe mechanically mindedAbility to read technical drawings and wiring diagramsUnderstand Bills of Materials (BOM)Able to write reports / documents at technical levelExperience with inspection & testing to ensure they meet specificationsProblem SolvingERP / MRP systemsMust be conversant with Microsoft Office including Power Point and ExcelOn Offer : Friendly professional environment, a salary in the region of £30K-£34K, Bonus, Company Pension, Life Assurance, Health, Career Development.
