The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • BA / BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field of study.
  • Professional certifications desired (AWS, KNIME, Tableau, etc.).
  • Cloud computing (AWS or Azure) related associate-level certifications preferred.
  • 5-7 years of software engineering and / or data analytics experience including prior experience participating in complex software engineering projects.
  • Experience with audit and risk processes in a financial services context preferred.
  • Strong technical problem solving and data analytical skills.
  • Team player who takes initiative and works constructively with others to achieve team goals.
  • Continuous learner and self-starter with a can-do approach coupled with a strong data curious and investigative mindset.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities and workload as part of an agile scrum team.
  • Strong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge in cloud technologies, machine learning, and DevOps delivery methodologies, etc.
  • The Purpose of Your Role

    In this position you are part of a team responsible for delivering continuous audit automation and machine learning capabilities to our Corporate Audit, Risk, and Fidelity business stakeholders.

    You will collaborate with peers to identify and implement audit test automation and machine learning use cases to support continuous auditing and contribute to the execution of broader enterprise IT audit projects such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing and Digital Infrastructure, and drive positive change across the firm.

    The Skills You Bring

    Your demonstrated technical abilities and knowledge across a wide range of topics including :

  • Demonstrable hands-on skills or knowledge in various technology areas such as Data Science (Machine Learning, KNIME Analytics, Alteryx, TensorFlow, SageMaker, H2O.
  • ai, etc.), Operating Systems (UNIX / Linux, Windows), Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.), Cloud Tools (Datadog, CloudAware, Divvy Cloud, Cloudability etc.

    Big Data environment (Snowflake, Hadoop, etc.), and Database Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).

  • Proficient and skilled with various Programming / Scripting Languages (Python, R, Java, etc.) and Automation workflows.
  • Knowledge of financial services and / or relevant technologies supporting financial services operations (e.g. brokerage, regulatory transfer agency, financial statements etc.) preferred.
  • Fostering high performance, continuous learning, and collaborative interactions within an Agile Scrum team of audit professionals.

    As an Audit Manager, Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing audit test automation and leading the development of Fidelity Corporate Audit’s development and delivery of machine learning capabilities in support of our mission.

    You will need to work effectively in a team setting to :

  • Protect Fidelity’s customers and brand by delivering high quality audit automation and machine learning capabilities.
  • Identify and lead Corporate Audits identification and development of machine learning uses cases to support continuous audit.
  • Promote the growth and development of your teammates through your experience, expertise, and perspective.
  • Develop an ongoing "trusted advisor" relationship with audit clients and Internal Audit business unit colleagues to ensure timely and consistent controls advice.
  • Travel (15% annually) to execute audits, and to attend training and corporate events.
