This role sits within our Information Management (IM) Business Unit reporting to the Cyber Operations Manager at a Band 6 level

Job Description :

As a Cyber Investigations Specialist (CIS) you will be responsible for ensuring that a wide range of digital investigations - varying from cyber incident response and data breaches to violations of company policies - are conducted in line with our internal standards.

You will coordinate a team of highly skilled Investigations Analysts, ensuring that cases and incidents are effectively managed end to end by the team.

Aside from this, you will have the opportunity to help define tool sets and processes whilst also engaging with the wider business to raise awareness of the capability and how the team can support them.

  • Additional duties will include;
  • Optimise forensic efforts and processes to ensure a cost effective and efficient model
  • Coordinate a team of global forensic investigators in support of business requirements
  • Design and implement standards and standard operating procedures for forensic best effort approaches and maintain as legislation or standards change
  • Coordinate legal and data privacy departments in ensuring appropriate controls and legal frameworks are in place to support the investigations function
  • Monitor forensic investigations and coordinate team resources to achieve optimal results in respect of quality and timeliness
  • Conduct forensic investigations and produce reports of findings for business use.
  • Qualifications :

  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with forensic principles and technologies
  • Knowledge of any forensic imaging and analysis tools such as Encase, FTK, Nuix etc
  • Experience investigating and acting on threats and online threat actors
  • Knowledge of industry standard security products, including end point agents, remote capturing tools and other security related products
  • Scripting and programming in / and knowledge of;Splunk and PowerShellEndpoint Detect and Response toolsAnti Virus toolsLink / pattern analysis tools such as Maltego or I2Network traffic packet analysisSandboxing and malware analysisThreat hunting methodoligiesSIEM and use case management / optimisationMitre attack framework
