About the Opportunity :

Jacobs is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Nuclear power business. The Jacobs’ nuclear power business supports clients across the energy generation and new build sectors.

This role will be based on site at Sellafield Nuclear, and will be reporting to the Area Lead Engineer 000 and supporting the Principal Civil / Structural Engineer on a full time post will be responsible for production and checking of Structural / civil calculations and technical reports, and inspection of technical drawings from an engineering perspective.

  • Degree or HNC qualified, Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) with 5+ years post-Chartership experience.
  • A pro-active, self-starter with good communication, analytical and team working skills.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations.
  • Experienced STAAD user.
  • Calculation production using Excel.
  • Strong communication skills
