Description : Over recent years NHS Tayside has committed to increased investment in the Area Psychological Therapies Service.
The Service now has a complement of around 160 clinical and applied staff with an additional 18 trainees. Opportunity exists to combine a number of specialist posts to reflect career interests of suitable applicants.
The Department provides a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment in which to work. Opportunities exist for involvement in teaching and research, taking advantage of close links with Universities of Dundee and Stirling.
Members of the Department also contribute to the supervision and training of trainees on the Edinburgh / East and South of Scotland Clinical Teaching Course, the Universities of Stirling and Dundee MSc Course and the Child course.

6wte Consultant Psychologist and 3.0 wte Band 8A Applied Psychology posts. The Consultant Psychologist post is responsible for the provisions of expert, prioritised, comprehensive specialist psychologist services to patients and to colleagues and organisations concerned with the delivery of health care within the delivery of health care within NHS Tayside Addictions Service.
The participant will participate as a core member of Tayside Substance Misuse Teams as the lead psychology clinician in terms of operational and strategic development.
