Senior Manager - Forensic Data & Analytics

With significant recent investment, our client is experiencing rapid growth within their Forensic Data Analytics team. The service line is working with industry- leading anti-fraud and forensic data analytics technologies to develop innovative recommendations to some of the most challenging fraud and risk issues around.
The Forensic Data Analytics team are a global group of financial services subject matter experts who possess excellent technical skills & practice the full life cycle of data management, from the early stages of data scoping and capture, to its management, analysis and reporting.
The nature of our work typically requires working with very large datasets from disparate data sources to support fraud investigations and disputes for our clients covering all aspects of the Financial Services and insurance industry.
This is achieved by combining financial services sector knowledge with deep forensic investigation knowledge and advanced data analytics techniques such as investigative data linking, social network analysis, statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive modelling.
Your key responsibilities :
You're likely to balance your time between selling in the market, directly liaising with our clients to understand their needs, formulating tailored solutions or leading a team to deliver for our clients.
It is all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve the clients' needs from the front lines.
Creating Business Development initiatives, go to market campaigns & sales sprints, engagement delivery and knowledge management with a previous proven experience of achieving sales targets greater than £2m
Managing multi-disciplinary teams, client and 3rd party professionals on client engagements and providing leadership and shape delivery approaches
Acting as a subject matter expert in advising clients to gain greater insight into their data and the value that data analytics can bring to an organisation.
Take a significant role in the growth of the team and wider practice, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other team members.
Work to support clients and fraud examiners on the benefits of forensic data analysis and how it can be applied to their issues

Naturally you'll need a strong background in the various tools to complete a data analytics project. However they're not just looking for strong technical skills they're interested in people that can nurture relationships, both internally and externally, and are committed to intimately understanding the client's needs.
Strong academic background with a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
Experience of advising external clients on insights and strategies related to data analytics, ideally in the fraud, Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance, and litigation support experience in banking capital market and or insurance sectors, including AML, Sanctions, Anti Bribery and Corruption, Market Abuse, Claims and Dispute resolution domains.
A quantifiable history of business development success with a proven record of developing and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders
Experience developing long-term relationships across a network of existing and potential clients to maximize business development opportunities
Proven ability to analyse business problems, create solutions combining the right technology & experience and articulate business value
Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
Experience of leading large teams, complex engagements and mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance.
Experience developing your team through constant coaching and feedback, providing challenging goals and guaranteeing your people have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to grow
Competence in using database management software, statistical and predictive machine learning software and link analysis / data visualization software.
A proven record in data analysis and data science, and an in-depth knowledge of SQL along with other leading database technologies, statistical analysis packages or programming languages preferably Python or R.
Ideally, you'll also have an in-depth knowledge visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire.
A working knowledge of Hadoop-based technologies, KAFKA and other big data tools.

Previous consulting experience
Experience with :
oRelational databases, e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL;
oData visualisation software : Spotfire, Tableau, or Qlik;
oBig data technologies such as Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop; KAFKA;
oKnowledge and application of statistical techniques and programming (R or SAS) (regression, clustering etc.); or
oMachine learning, Natural Language Processing and pattern recognition;
oAzure cloud computing platform;
Domain knowledge of accounting, fraud, bribery and corruption or sector specific knowledge or experience
