An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join the general rotation offering an opportunity to further develop skills across a broad range of clinical areas.

Placements are offered on 4 sites and are for 8 months. All placements are supported by a large team of experienced physiotherapists and Clinical Specialists.

The Trust has many tertiary specialties including Major Trauma, Cardiac surgery, Oncology, Neurosciences (neurology and neurosurgery), Amputee and Neurology Rehabilitation.

  • ITU / Surgical wards
  • Medical Wards
  • Elderly Rehabilitation
  • NOF Unit
  • Elective Orthopaedics
  • Elective Spinal Surgery
  • Paediatrics
  • Neurology Rehabilitation
  • Stroke unit
  • Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Outpatients
  • The post would include being part of the week end and on call rota and most of the rotations will involve rostered 7 day working within the near future.

    This post would suit a Band 5 Physiotherapist with good all round general experience who has confidence in their clinical reasoning and problem solving skills with CPD to support this, and is looking to extend their experience and gain some specialist skills.

    The candidate should have enthusiasm, excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.

    The department is committed to professional development and post graduate education which is facilitated through an established IPR and mentoring scheme, funding of courses and dedicated CPD time.

    You will be encouraged to gradually take on additional responsibilities, develop your management skills and supervise junior staff, assistants and students.

  • Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
  • Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
