Role Title : Senior Manager Digital Business Analysis Business : RBWM New or Existing Role : Existing Grade : GCB4 As the global lead of the Digital Analysis discipline you will grow and develop your team to support the broader execution of a portfolio of Digital solutions across HSBC RBWM.

As one of several discipline leads within HSBC Digital, Data & Development your focus will be a balance of being technical lead’ for Digital Analysis as required and people lead’ to attract, grow and nurture talent within your specific area of expertise.

Your regional teams will be aligned to one of a number of Cross Functional Teams or projects leading the overall Delivery of Digital solutions across our Business.

A key part of the role is to ensure that the resources from your team are working effectively and to the expected standards to support delivery.

You will also ensure that the relationships across Disciplines and Cross Functional Teams are working well in the overall spirit of working within a complex matrix.

Growing the technical excellence across the Digital Analysis discipline is essential we need great people who have the required level of technical talent to deliver HSBCs ambitious Digital strategy.

Keeping you and your team relevant in your technical field, bringing in industry best practice and inspiring the development of your team is vital.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Accountability for business analysis activity from drawdown through to delivery, including product backlog management.
  • Define and implement process across the regions, adopting industry standards to constantly improve quality of analysis and demonstrate value to the business.
  • Delivery within an agile environment understanding best practice through iterative and continuous delivery.
  • Lead the recruitment activities for your Discipline to ensure you have the right talent in place now and for the future.
  • Embed a strong performance management culture where people know what is expected and how they will be measured and held accountable.
  • Grow the talent within your Discipline to support people to be at their best this will include encouraging technical excellence and industry best practice, supporting career and development planning and role based learning.
  • Design and implement an effective organisational structure within the discipline, recruiting and developing people managers who will lead, coach and motivate regional teams.
  • Own the roles within your discipline, creating job descriptions that attract internal and external talent whilst giving incumbents the ability to drive their own careers through well-defined career paths.
  • Work in partnership with teams to understand delivery roadmaps and best strategy for delivering Digital solutions especially working with Cross Functional Teams to understand how the resources from your Discipline can and are supporting complex and fast paced delivery.
  • Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for this role will have :

  • Experience in leading a business analysis practice operating in a customer facing environment
  • Experience working in relevant environment / s, i.e. iterative delivery at scale, working in Digital product development teams following Agile / DevOps methodology
  • Experience in agile business analysis methodology including capture and traceability of requirements and techniques such as BDD / TDD.
  • Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Product and backlog management tools such as Confluence / Jira is essential
  • Understanding of industry best practise and experience in using this to improve performance in own area
  • Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. National and international travel (c. 20% of the year) and when operating from the home country, will require significant schedule flexibility to allow for daily / weekly interaction with team members and project teams from all global regions.
