for A Remedy Developer to be part of the BMC Remedy v9 ITSM development team working across all areas of the BMC Remedy Suite in a global organisation.
You will be working with other developers, sharing responsibility for the maintenance, technical support, development and continual service improvement of the Remedy ITSM suite to high standards.
Taking ownership of both support issues and the development pipeline, you will develop and deliver requests to enhance the application and platform.
Self-service (via DWP) and automation of the tiles are the key factors and focus that will drive the majority of development pipeline and work you will be focusing on.
You will deliver fully tested work to a high standard. To ensure knowledge sharing and development you will work closely with other members of the team.
Main Responsibilities Developing DWP / Service Broker workflow for end user consumption and automation of requests. Ranging from simple ticket logging requests, to full end to end orchestration of highly complex requests and processes.
Understanding of Remedy ITSM's underlying database structure, including data model, code customisation, integration interfaces.
Understanding ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management and adapting these to business requirements to support a best of both world breeds from the tools.
Ensuring support issues are correctly resolved, clearly communicated, escalated and followed up where required. Ensuring simplicity is a key factor within developments and ensuring single points of failure are considered.
Assisting with reviewing solution gaps, performance problems, platform stability, capacity and operational posture. Having a good understanding of the technical capabilities of the tools and their integrations / interfaces and what the correct approach is for different scenarios.
Working directly with end users to resolve issues or help to define requirements, testing, etc. Attending team meetings to review problems, raising / presenting technical issues and findings, sharing knowledge and feeding into upcoming plans.
Keeping up to date with vendor roadmaps, emerging technologies, and technology risks. Read more Read less
