The Accounts Receivable Manager will be part of the Finance Team based in Leeds and will report directly to the Financial Controller and will oversee and manage the daily operation of all aspects of accounts receivable / sales ledger and credit control.
They will play a critical role in ensuring the prompt generation of invoices, prompt receipt and allocation of payments received.
Key Responsibilities
Managing, developing, and supporting the team with 3 direct reports
Conducting regular 1-2-1's
Proactive chasing of debt, bad debt provisions, overdue reporting
Involved in process improvements
Control of debtor days and aged debt ensuring KPI's are met
Conduct credit checks
Review of credit limits and managing risk
Managing the daily cash receipts
Full control of the aged debt report
Ensure all monthly statements are created, reviewed, and sent to customers
Resolve queries, identifying root causes, proposing, and implementing the necessary changes to prevent recurring issues
Any other adhoc duties to assist the Heads of Departments
Skills / experience
Degree level candidate or similar
Hands on, experienced people manager with a strong background in leading and motivating teams, with a passion for customer service
Able to own an issue until the problem has been resolved
Process driven
Experience in dispute management and resolution
Attention to detail and strong with numbers
Ability to manage own workload whilst overseeing the team
Self-Motivated to complete tasks to a professional standard
Ability to Multi-Task and manage priorities
Ability to work Methodically and Logically with good attention to detail
An Aptitude for problem solving
Ability to communicate with a range of people - Managers, clients, consultants and other departments
Clear, concise and professional - written and verbal communications
Literate and numerate
Ability to work independently and to a high level of competence on a number of projects at any one time without compromising quality or attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and take responsibility for own workload
